I've started playing the violin again. It's really refreshing. I remember it being so stressful, practicing to be perfect, to make that 1 at State, or to make first chair again... but now that all of that pressure is gone, it's almost completely different. I play because I like to. And because its fun.

Not to mention that it's one of the few things that I can do that isn't related to my art or work. Doodling? To improve my speed. Reading? To extend my creativity and knowledge for game concepts. Role playing? Character development for game designs. Even watching movies (which I don't do much to begin with), I'm watching composition, colour, storytelling. Analyzing everything.

But with music it's just that. Music. I remember now why I've played these 13 some-odd years.

On the life front, not much has changed. Still work, still love my job. Have had a few game concepts murdered and bastardized by Nokia. Discovered that the game market's a lot like Hollywood. But things are looking up, on the design front anyway. Have a few potential projects that'll hopefully play out like I want. <3

Moving in is going well, things are finally starting to feel like a HOUSE, and not just a white room that we happen to live in. Definately a plus. Maybe once we have the place to where it's presentable, I'll take a few pictures. :3

Well! ::brushes dust off of page:: I've been rather inactive lately, haven't I? Lots changed, so I guess I'll start with a proper explanation!

I've been hired as a head concept artist and game designer for a game company, Barking Lizards. I design characters, levels, and future game projects for various platforms. Currently I'm working on an RPG and an MMORPG. Thus, the reason for the dissapearance! I've been very very busy, but with a job that I ADORE! I draw RPG characters all day. I mean, can't go too wrong, no?

But, until the game comes out or a public update on the games has been released, I'm not allowed to show you any work on the game. Another reason for the lack of updates. X3 This update now, February, is the first real thing I've been able to finish of my own since I've been hired. Hopefully I'll be able to keep finding time to do things like this.

I'm also moving in a week! Making my home in a nice little townhome closer to my job with a fellow animator from Dallas.

I'm sorry to say that I won't be too active in DA anymore. I will update with artworks I deem worthy, but I'm afraid I won't do much commenting or interacting. And I certainly can't reply to devnotes. I currently have nearly 1,500 items in my message center, and I'm afraid I'll never get around to answering all of them. ;    ; You may feel free to email me though at nightmarejester@waterbead.net, and I'll most definately respond. I've had troubles with it recently, and if you emailed me and I haven't responded, likeliness is I just didn't see it, or my email ate it. Feel free to send it again! I love getting emails, and I'll send a reply as soon as I can. :3

As for anything else, I can't really think of anything!! I just thought I'd give you guys an update on my life, seeing as how so much is changing and I haven't said anything!! Hope the year's going well for you guys, 'coz it certainly is for me!

So I've been a total spaz about that for a good bit... and I probably will be until Advent Children comes out and I can be an even bigger spaz. Wooh.

Going to FLOOORIDA on Monday to see Rach. That should be super awesome. And I get to see TMBG this weekend.
