Wow I feel so... egotistical posting this, but it was sort of an accident.
I created a thread on my school's forum asking everyone the all important question, "are you a pirate? or a ninja?" And asked everyone to draw themselves as a pirate or a ninja. I just did a sketch initially, and then slapped some color on it for fun. I gaussian blured the crap out of it to make it into an avatar, and then realized that when I did that, it got rid of the sketch lines and made them look like shadows, and if I just painted on top of the blurred colored sketch, I could clean it up and make it look like the sketch was never there.
So..naturally I had to try it. And here it is. n_n;; It worked so well it might actually be my method from now on.. we'll see...
Awesome work! I really love the expression on your face, reminds me of how I look anytime someone wants to take a picture of me I really love your coloring work on there, it's really nice. Good job!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. "I worship Bob for the same reason I worship atomic bombs.
That is to say, I worship him so he doesn't explode one day and burn up all the Earth's atmosphere."
And the pirates will always reign supreme.
