I like your Mendels, I had a similar idea, more along the starting lines of 'everyone does earth, air, fire and water, those are not ruddy elements...' Anyways. Nice. Shiny. Didn't know Antimony was used in make-up. Have you thought of doing some of the 'old' elements (like, gold, sulphur...)? Or some of the transition metals? Manganese has like....five oxidation states and lots of pretty coloured compounds. Sorry my inner scientist is breaking out. Nice gallery.
